Essential Details for Civil Litigation, Business, and Estate Planning Clients 

Our firm is dedicated to transparency and fairness in our service offerings. Please review the following policies regarding consultation fees to understand what applies to your legal needs: 

Consultation Fees for Civil Litigation and Business Clients 

  • Civil litigation and business clients are required to pay a $200 consultation fee at all of our offices, whether the meeting takes place in-person, virtually, or by phone. 

  • This policy applies across all locations to ensure that attorney time is devoted to complex matters requiring detailed attention. 

Chicago Office In-Person Consultation Policy 

  • All in-person consultations at our Chicago office require a $200 fee for a 1/2 hour meeting. Extended consultations are available upon request; however, these require payment of additional fees in advance of booking. 

  • All consultation fees, regardless of location, format, or duration, must be paid prior to the scheduled appointment. 

Consultation Fees for Other Case Types 

  • For case types other than civil litigation and business, clients at our Chicago office may avoid the in-person consultation fee by scheduling a virtual or telephone meeting. 

  • This exception does not apply to civil litigation and business matters, which always require the $200 fee regardless of consultation format. 

Estate Planning, Guardianship, and Routine Probate Consultations at Rock Island 

  • Clients seeking estate planning, routine probate, or guardianship services at our Rock Island office continue to enjoy complimentary initial consultations. 

  • This helps make essential planning more accessible to in our rural and downstate community.

  • Our structure ensures attorneys’ time is reserved for serious and committed clients, particularly for complex litigation and business matters. 

  • Complimentary estate planning consultations at Rock Island encourage more clients to take advantage of these vital services, while flexible options for other case types help make legal support readily available. 

What Does This Mean for You? 

  • Civil litigation and business clients will pay a $200 consultation fee for any meeting format at any location. 

  • Chicago clients with other case types may choose virtual or phone consultations to avoid the in-person fee. 

  • Estate planning consultations and routine guardianship and probate consultations remain free at the Rock Island office. 

  • All consultation fees must be paid prior to your scheduled meeting to secure your appointment.
